Scenic Shrine Pass
During warm months, if you're looking for a scenic and mellow tour, one of the great offerings in the Vail area with regards to UTV riding can be found through our Red Cliff location. Immediately upon leaving our office location in the quaint little town of Red Cliff you will encounter the Shrine Pass Trail. The trail offers numerous viewings of wildflower meadows and pine woodlands during the summer months and is especially popular as a sightseeing route during the autumn months.
The Shrine Pass Trail is traversed by a narrow unpaved road connecting the eastern side of Vail Pass near Interstate 70 (East) with the upper valley of the Eagle River (west). Most of the time, it is a 4WD or Jeep trail; however, in ideal weather the road is considered traversable by sturdy 2WD vehicles and light trucks.  The pass was formerly the principal route between the upper valleys of the Blue and Eagle rivers before the construction of U.S Highway 6 over nearby Vail Pass, which subsequently became the main route.
In the winter time, Shrine Pass is a favorite spot for snowmobiling and snowshoeing with spectacular views of Mt. Holy Cross available all year round. Of course, a great cap to a day on the trail will be returning to our send-off location where a delicious meal awaits you at Mango's Mountain Grill. Lots of fan favorites include the spicy chili and soups, fresh salads, char-grilled burgers and fries, and a enviable selection of craft beer and spirits. Regardless of the time of year Shrine Pass always brings an exciting time of adventure riding suitable for the whole family.
