Cottonwood Pass Overview:

We now offer half-day and full-day guided timbersled tours. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned Timbersled rider, Cottonwood Pass has something for every skill level. The terrain offers a variety of groomed trails and deep powder fields. 


Cottonwood Pass Timbersled Tours

Cottonwood Pass offers a lot of groomed trails which are ideal for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. For the advanced rider, Ptarmigan Lake offers a challenging ride with a final lake destination of over 12,000 ft and snow-capped mountain views for miles. For those attempting to reach Ptarmigan lake, we recommend a full-day tour.


What to Expect:

We can pick you up from any Hotel or AirBnB throughout Buena Vista at 8:30a.m. All riders must be 16 or older. You can also meet us at the trail head around 9am. You will get suited up at the cottonwood pass trail head and there you will also review all Safety and Avalanche procedures. There will be an open Question and Answer time period before launch.

Once on the machines, there will be a group warm up and skills evaluation by your guide to determine best routes to take. The Routes are determined by riders skill level.


What to Bring:

Be prepared for extreme weather and elements. Many customers like to have a backpack to carry water, sunscreen, snacks, extra gear, extra set of gloves and goggles.
