Benedict Hut

The Benedict Hut actually consist of two Huts that were constructed in 1997. The Huts were built in honor of Fritz Benedict and his wife, Fabi. The Benedict's were the founding members of the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association. If not for the Benedicts, they hut system that so many of us Colorado Locals have come to love would have never been developed. The Benedict Hut(s) are just East of Aspen, Colorado and stand at 10,970'. You can learn more about the trails that surround the huts on our Colorado Map. The Benedict Hut is managed by the 10th Mountain Division and all reservations should be made at huts.org
