Green-Wilson Hut

The Green-Wilson Hut is located below treeline at 11,300' in Pearl Basin, in the Elk Mountains. The hut is situated between Crested Butte, Colorado and Aspen, Colorado and sits just south of Tagert Hut. It's worth noting that the Green-Wilson Hut and other huts in the Braun system are located in areas that are known for avalanches with recurring avalanche cycles. The routes leading into the Green-Wilson Hut are unmarked and are not maintained. These huts are only for the experienced back country traveler. The Hut is managed by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association and all reservations should be made at huts.org
