While Vail itself is known for its world-class skiing, the surrounding areas offer everything from 5-star luxury dining to some of the best fly fishing around and everything in between.

Whatever your flavor, the Vail Valley has something for everyone. The local town of Minturn, just minutes west of Vail is steeped in railroad and mining history, offering local artisan shopping, and unique eateries with many local summer and winter recreation areas. Head through town and you will come to the more remote town of Red Cliff. Immediately when you enter town, you can see, feel and smell the history and charm of this authentically preserved old mining town. Red Cliff also offers direct access to the Vail Pass Recreation Area which encompasses over 55,000 acres to explore in summer and winter. Both towns offer access to the Eagle River, home to local rafting guides and the extreme GoPro Games kayaking course.

Head a little farther west and you can head up to Beaver Creek Village for 5-star dining, a show at the Vilar Performing Arts Center, or mountain biking through miles of trails. As you continue west to Eagle, you’ll notice the scenery and topography change as the valley opens up and becomes more arid, the river more gentle. From Eagle to Dotsero there are hundreds of miles of OHV trails and another 30 minute drive takes you past Hanging Lake, and iconic hike and then to Glenwood Spring where there are two hot springs for your choosing.

Whether your looking to Paddleboard the Colorado River, take a Slingshot for a cruise to the hot springs or get fresh tracks on a snowmobile, RMAR has the right toys for any adventure. We pride ourselves in the best equipment, unique adventures and top notch customer service wherever your adventure takes you!
